END PERIOD POVERTY TODAY

Did You Know

  • 800 million people around the world menstruate each day

  • As many as 500 million lack menstrual products and hygienic bathroom facilities

  • Women without access to menstrual products resort to unhygienic alternatives which can lead to serious health problems and increased risk of infection

  • Stigmatization and shame about menstruation can lead to social isolation as well as depression, abuse, neglect and sexual exploitation.

  • Lack of access to menstrual products causes women and girls to miss work and education, with 1 in 10 girls in Africa missing school because of their period

  • As part of our period poverty initiative, The Ida Lee Project is providing menstrual products and education to students in the DRC, helping girls stay in school and recoup 3 months of school every year.

Help us make a difference for women and girls in the Democratic Republic of the Congo

Your donation will provide essential menstrual products and support our medical teams and outreach educators fighting for menstrual equity.

Take a stand against period poverty.

Ensure a brighter future is within reach for women and girls
